Change is constant. Your home can adapt with you — supporting safety, dignity, and connection at every stage of life.
Tracey Kirstein, PT, CAPS brings more than 40 years of experience as a Physical Therapist working with older adults and their families. Throughout her career, she has learned that the best solutions begin with listening — understanding the concerns, goals, and daily realities of both older adults and the people who support them.
Known for her empathetic and collaborative approach, Tracey helps families navigate conversations around home safety assessments, mobility, accessibility, and aging in place with respect and clarity. She believes that every individual and every family experiences change differently, and that thoughtful planning can help people remain confident, connected, and supported in the homes they love.
After decades of helping people adapt to life’s transitions, Tracey embraces a simple truth: “The only constant in life is change.”
Our bodies change.
Our needs evolve.
Our homes should adapt with us.
Tracey also embraces thought leader Patrick Roden’s perspective that we do not live independently — we live interdependently. The environments we live in, and the support systems around us, play an essential role in our safety, dignity, and quality of life.
Better Home Better Life was created to bring clinical insight into aging-in-place solutions, home accessibility, and accessible home design. As an Aging-in-Place Specialist, Tracey collaborates with homeowners, families, architects, and healthcare professionals to create homes that reduce fall risk, improve function and mobility, and support long-term well-being.
Her work is grounded in education, prevention, and proactive planning — helping people prepare for change rather than respond to crisis.
Because when a home works better, life works better.
